Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Propfit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Propfit provides a platform for verifying prop trading firm payouts by connecting to users' bank accounts through Plaid and analyzing transaction data.

2. Description of Service

Propfit offers the following services:

• Bank Account Connection: Securely link your bank accounts via Plaid to import transaction data
• Payout Detection: Automatic identification of payouts from proprietary trading firms
• Verification Snapshots: Cryptographically signed proof of your payout history
• Badge System: Earned credentials based on verified payout activity
• Public Verification Pages: Shareable links to prove your trading credentials

3. Eligibility

To use Propfit, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Have a valid bank account that you are authorized to access
• Provide accurate and truthful information

4. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Ensuring that any bank accounts you connect belong to you or you have authorization to access

5. Plaid Services

Our Service uses Plaid Inc. to connect to your financial institutions. By using Propfit:

• You authorize Plaid to access your bank account information on your behalf
• You agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy
• You acknowledge that Plaid is a third-party service with its own terms and conditions

We are not responsible for any issues arising from Plaid's services, including but not limited to connection failures, data accuracy, or service interruptions.

6. Verification Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy in detecting and verifying prop trading payouts:

• Verification is based on transaction data patterns and may not be 100% accurate
• We detect payouts from known prop firms but may not recognize all firms
• Users are responsible for confirming or rejecting detected payouts
• Verification snapshots represent data at the time of creation and may not reflect subsequent changes

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to manipulate, falsify, or misrepresent payout data
• Connect bank accounts that you do not own or have authorization to access
• Share verification snapshots in a misleading manner
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user data), is owned by Propfit and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of your data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to:

• Process your transaction data to provide verification services
• Display your chosen public information on verification pages
• Use aggregated, anonymized data for service improvement

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of payout detection
• Warranties regarding third-party services including Plaid

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROPFIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Propfit and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as limitation of liability and indemnification) will remain in effect.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
